HPA Theory Course

In accordance with the JAR-FCL, before entering any type rating training, every pilot needs to complete the theoretical HPA (High Performance Aircraft) training. Only the pilots who have passed a theoretical ATPL(A) exam are granted an exemption from this requirement.

In accordance with the European standards and regulations, as expressed in the JAR-FCL Requirements, theoretical HPA training program covers subjects including flight rules, navigation, general knowledge on airframe structure, capabilities and limitations of the human body, as well as many other that will enable students to familiarize themselves with the basic rules of conducting a flight in high performance aircraft.

Our school offers the theoretical HPA training in Polish and in English, based on a program that has been approved by the President of The CAO Civil Aviation Office , in accordance with the Ventum Air’s FTO certificate. The program includes 9 hours of lectures, conducted during a one-day session on the premises of our school. Applicants must hold a valid PPL(A) and have a total flight time of 200 hours.

At the end of the theoretical training, students sit an internal exam and receive a certificate. This certificate is recognized by all the members of the JAA Joint Aviation Authorities .
