fiFI(A) Flight Instructor (Aeroplane) The next step in almost every pilot’s career is obtaining the FI(A), Flight Instructor (Aeroplane), qualifications. This is, despite varying opinions, a very important qualification.

 

Many young pilots do not realize that the lack of this qualification, assuming they have started working as airline pilots, may have enormous consequences in the future. It is very hard to find time for obtaining this qualification, while working for an airline because the air crews’ working hours are restricted. As a result , you are not allowed to work as flight instructor on larger aircraft.

 

FI(A) training program consists of two parts: theoretical and practical. In accordance with the Civil Aviation Office program, the theoretical FI(A) training consists of 125 hours of lectures. The training lasts 3.5 weeks and ends with an internal exam on the premises of our school. The practical part of the training consists of 30 flight hours with an instructor on the Cessna 150/152. During the course one should pass theoretical exams for commercial radio operator licence, conducted by the UKE (Office of Electronic Communications).

 

Total course price: 4 500  Euro (it includes a qualification flight in accordance with the JAR-FCL standards, the theoretical training held in an individual mode, 30 hours of practical training on the Cessna 150/152, and EPBC and EPGY landing fees). The price of the course including 100 hours of instructor placement: 6 000 Euro.
